In 2006, DEC Western Sydney Region, in partnership with JobQuest introduced the "Ready, Arrive, Work" (RAW) program to schools in the Western Sydney regional.

 

The program was extended in 2010 to include schools with high refugee student enrolments in south Western Sydney regional with funding from Multicultural Programs and later to schools with significant refugee student enrolments in the Riverina, Hunter, Central Coast and North Coast regions through the Refugee Transition Program.
