About Us
Penrith Skills for Jobs Ltd trading as JobQuest and JQ Services was set up by a group of concerned citizens and volunteers in 1987 to provide basic community services for disadvantaged people living in Western Sydney.
Starting out as a Community Youth Support Service (CYSS), We have expanded our services from at risk youth to include long term unemployed, people with disabilities, mature age job seekers, refugees and other highly disadvantaged target groups.
We now operate out of both Western Sydney and Newcastle regions. Our aim is to assist disadvantaged members of our community to feel connected and become resourceful, independent and self-reliant members of the community at large.
Our Mission
Through a client focused and community oriented approach, JobQuest engages and supports our clients to confidently:
-

-

Our Vision
To help build a resourceful, connected and accepting community through developing empowered, skilled and caring individuals.
What our community says....
The course has helped me in many ways, I now have the skills and knowledge to carry out my job search and the confidence to go through the interview process.
Adam
I loved the course because we didn't just sit in a room and write in a book. I would recommend the course to anyone who wants to better their skills, knowledge and situation. it was great fun...
Connor
The course also gave me some retail experience which has helped me because I had no experience of any kind, my communication skills are a lot better and I feel comfortable interacting with people.
