Social Enterprise Services
JobQuest operates a social enterprise in property maintenance to provide work for disadvantaged job seekers such as long term unemployed, people with disabilities, refugees with limited language skills, homeless or at risk youth. This involves engagement to undertake work in public housing estates, community housing properties, groups homes and private homes.
The Social Enterprise participants work in groups/crews completing property maintenance such as cleaning, lawn mowing, edging, hedging, pressure washing, mulching, composting, removing rubbish and much more.
They also carry out a range of cleaning services and handyman services at both public housing and private homes.
The aim of the Social Enterprise Project is to assist the job seekers to develop confidence and employability skills so they become competitive in open labour market.
Since conception, over 100 participants have gained employment with their newly acquired skills and experience.
The Social Enterprise completes property maintenance for individuals as well as housing co-operatives and commercial agencies.
