Home and Community Care (HACC) 

Supporting seniors in the Cumberland/ Prospect areas with home maintenance needs.

 

The Commonwealth Home and Community Care (HACC) provides funding for services which support older people and their carers who live in the community and whose capacity for independent living is at risk, or at risk of premature or inappropriate admission to long term residential care.

 

JobQuest provides HACC Home Property Maintenance in Auburn, Holroyd, Parramatta, Blacktown and Baulkham Hills Local Government Areas. To request a service call us on (02) 8677 8885 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

JobQuest can help you with the following services:

 

  • Lawn Mowing

  • Edging and trimming

  • Change light bulbs

  • Small carpentry jobs

  • Clean gutters (single storey)

  • Wash external windows (single storey)  under certain conditions

  • Install battery operated door bells

  • Carpet steam cleaning,

  • Cut low tree branches where obstructing entrances/paths

  • Clean cement paths and steps if hazardous

  • Install letter boxes

  • Install smoke detectors and replace batteries 

  • Hang pictures 

  • Wheelie bin washouts

  • Rubbish removal (tip fees must be paid)

Aim of Service

The aim of this service is to provide basic home and garden maintenance services for people 65 and over (Aboriginal and Strait Islander people aged 50 and over) and their unpaid carers.

Cost of Service

Fees are based on the level of pension you receive based on HACC policy  plus the cost of any materials used. Fees and quotation will be discussed with you before any service is commenced.
